The new sector-owned improvement organisation for the Further Education and Skills sector has appointed Sue Dutton as its interim CEO.

Sue will work with the chair Ruth Silver to establishing a sector-owned body responsible for supporting strategic change, leadership development, quality improvement and self regulation within the Further Education and Skills sector.

Bill Rammell, Minister Life Long Learning, Further and Higher Education said:

I am pleased to announce that Sue Dutton has agreed to become the CEO of the new FE Improvement body on an interim basis.

Sue has a wealth of talent and expertise which will be invaluable in ensuring that the improvement body can immediately get down work. The new organisation will support the strategic reform of the FE sector and take leadership and improvement forward in a radically new way.

This appointment will keep up the momentum while we move rapidly to secure a permanent CEO.
