Initial Equality Impact Assessment
Initial Equality Impact Assessment
Q. What is an equality impact assessment?
A. Government policies can sometimes have unintended consequences for certain groups and individuals. Equality impact assessments look at the likely impact, whether positive or negative, of new policy proposals on disadvantaged and under represented groups and individuals. They also consider what action should be taken to minimise negative impacts and maximise positive ones.
Q. Can I comment on the equality impact assessment?
A. Consultation on the initial equality impact assessment will run in parallel to the main consultation. You can respond to this consultation using as follows:
- Online: complete the equality impact assessment response form
- By email to: highlevelskills.equality@dius.gsi.gov.uk
- By post to: Equality Impact Assessment, High Level Skills Consultation, Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills, Higher Education Group, N4, Moorfoot, Sheffield, S1 4PQ
