SSC advising on VQ priorities for public funding in England

In England, accreditation onto the Qualifications & Credit Framework (QCF) will not act as a proxy for public funding. Instead, the Learning & Skills Council (LSC) is modelling an approach by which SSCs recommend those VQs they believe should be the priorities for public funding. Further information can be found in the Addendum to the LSC annual Statement of Priorities.

Ten SSCs have been involved in this pilot since April 2007. A report on the final process is expected shortly
